  • About the Role

    We’re looking for a motivated intern to join our Vision AI team in building cutting-edge foundation models tailored to real-world industrial use cases. You will work alongside experienced engineers and researchers on projects involving data collection, model experimentation, and knowledge exploration—bringing in your fresh perspective and curiosity. 

    Internship Allowance - Provided 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Curate and manage large-scale image datasets from various sources, ensuring accuracy and relevance. 

    • Conduct literature reviews and competitive landscape analysis on foundation models, dataset scaling, and self-supervised learning techniques. 

    • Support model pretraining experiments and benchmarking pipelines. 

    • Collaborate with the engineering team to maintain dataset infrastructure and optimize storage (e.g., NAS, cloud). 

    • Assist in documentation and internal knowledge-sharing sessions. 

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 

    • Hands-on experience or familiarity with Python and libraries such as PyTorch, OpenCV, or scikit-image. 

    • Basic understanding of computer vision (e.g., CNNs, feature extraction, segmentation). 

    • Bonus: Experience working with datasets like ImageNet, COCO, or custom pipelines.

    You will support the assembly, installation, and testing of custom machines and vision systems by working closely with engineers and technicians. This role provides hands-on exposure to mechanical and electrical integration, machine building, and troubleshooting, making it an ideal opportunity to learn and contribute within a fast-paced engineering environment. 

    Internship Allowance - Provided 

    Key Responsibilities

    •  Assist in assembling and installing components for automation infrastructure supporting vision inspection systems. 

    • Support troubleshooting of basic mechanical and electrical issues during assembly and installation under supervision. 

    • Help perform technical checks and quality inspections to ensure systems meet required specifications. 

    • Assist in preparing design layouts, documentation, and updating schematics/blueprints for assembly processes. 

    • Work with engineers during product demonstrations, design reviews, and on-site installations.

    •  Learn and support tasks involving machine wiring, pneumatic routing, and cable trunking organization. 

    • Participate in basic machine testing to verify proper functionality. 

    • Help collect and document machine data needed for internal verification or customer buy-off. 

    • Support the project team during customer buy-off sessions and on-site installations as required. 

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field). 

    • Basic understanding of mechanical tools, electrical wiring, or assembly processes. 

    • Strong interest in automation, robotics, or vision system integration. 

    • Willingness to learn, adapt quickly, and follow technical instructions. 

    • Team player with attention to detail and safety practices.

    • Help install and align mechanical components such as actuators, cylinders, gears, and linear rails. 

    • Work alongside engineers and technicians to ensure correct fit and functionality of mechanical parts. 

    • Support basic mechanical tasks such as fitting, tapping, drilling, and light machining under supervision. 

    • Participate in building sub-assemblies and full systems with attention to precision and detail. 

    • Help identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues during the build process. 

    • Assist the electrical and controls teams with mechanical integration and component mounting. 

    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, parts, and workstations. 

    • Follow all safety procedures, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and quality guidelines. 

    • Join site installations when required and assist with on-site mechanical adjustments.
